What is stress?

Stress is a heightened sense of pressure that can present itself in many ways, both physically and mentally.

Signs of stress include:

  • Dizziness, chest pain, nausea.
  • Irritability, anger, fear.
  • Racing thoughts, confusion.
  • Change of habits, using alcohol, appetite changes.

Some stress truths:

  • Alcohol will not help with stress.
  • We all find different things stressful.
  • There are no ‘right or wrong’ stressors.
  • Stress is not a choice.
  • Stress is often a product of subconscious beliefs.
